Yura Lazebnikov joined the Ukrainian Startup Found board of experts

Alongside other experts, TECHIIA’s Managing Partner Yura Lazebnikov will make decisions on which of the startups submitted to the fund are worth investment.

Yura Lazebnikov, co-founder and the Managing Partner of TECHIIA holding, has joined the board of independent investment experts of the Ukrainian Startup Fund. His vote will be taken into account when evaluating projects that are to receive angel investment from the fund.

The Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) was launched at the initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The mission of the fund is to promote the creation and development of technology startups in the early stages, in order to increase their global competitiveness.

USF funds Ukrainian startups at the pre-seed and seed stages for $25,000 and $50,000, respectively. The Foundation cooperates with companies in such areas as agricultural technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR/VR), BigData, blockchain, educational technologies (EdTech), lifestyle, energy and ecology, financial technologies ( Fintech/legal tech), egovernment, healthcare, media and advertising, retail, industrial area, security.

The winners are selected on a competitive basis by the USF Board of Independent Investment Experts. In addition to the co-founder of TECHIIA, it includes Vasyl Zadvorny, CEO of Prozorro, Andres Flodstrom, founder and CEO of Beetroot, Alexei Orap, CEO and founder of Youscan, Igor Pertsia, venture partner of TA Ventures, Vladimir Beck, co-founder of Sigma Software and others.

Our holding and I personally share the same value, that is to help talented people to unleash their potential. I am glad to perform it in another role and to support a useful nationwide initiative, says Yura Lazebnikov.

It is worth noting that in June 2021, the TECHIIA holding together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Startup Fund launched the YouTube project TECHPUB. It is a place where startups, experienced entrepreneurs, and investors gather in a relaxed atmosphere and discuss a business idea that has not received a grant from the USF. Experts help a startup improve its idea, business model, or pitch to get a second chance for investment. 4 startups already took part in season one.
