The NGO Techiia Foundation donated 10 infusion pumps to Kropyvnytskyi Children's Hospital. The Hematology Department of the Regional Children's Hospital in Kropyvnytskyi received 10 infusion pumps worth UAH 780,000. They are used during chemotherapy treatment for children. With the new equipment, about 200 patients will be able to receive the necessary treatment in the right doses each year.

Infosomat Compact Plus Infusion pumps made by B. Braun company were purchased by the founders of the NGO Techiia Foundation Oleg Krot and Yura Lazebnikov. This equipment is a kind of automatic drip, which allows you to ensure accurate drug dosage over a specific period of time.

This is especially important during chemotherapy. According to doctors, sometimes patients are connected to 2-3 drips with different medicine at the same time. The infusion pump eliminates the possibility of overdose, which can be fatal.

"We were one of the first hospitals in Kropyvnytskyi to have such a system 10 years ago. But their resources were exhausted and we needed the new ones. About 250 patients are treated by our department every year, 75% of them undergo chemotherapy. That is, 180-200 patients will receive the necessary treatment every year with infusion pumps, which were provided by the NGO Techiia Foundation,” explains Natalia Kapelyushna, the Head of the Hematology Department of the Regional Children's Hospital in Kropyvnytskyi.

“Together with the Angel of Life Foundation, which helps us with logistics and organizational matters, Yura Lazebnikov and I continue to provide the children's hospital with everything needed to fight childhood cancer. Children should not die of oncology, and this is our goal, to which we are moving step by step for the third year now," says Oleg Krot, the Managing Partner of TECHIIA and co-founder of the NGO Techiia Foundation.

Soon the equipment will be completed with the necessary supplies worth more than UAH 100 thousand. Starting in 2018, the founders of the NGO Techiia Foundation purchased UAH 8 million worth of equipment and medical supplies for the children's hospital in Kropyvnytskyi.
