TECHIIA supports kids' Rehabilitation Center

The Inclusion and Correction Center Eva that can host up to 40 patients has already started working. Children who have undergone oncology treatment or have a disability are helped in the Center free of charge. Eva is supported by the TECHIIA holding.

The Eva Center is located in the suburbs of Kyiv, in the middle of a pine forest in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka. Currently, Eva employs 8 specialists: a speech therapist, correctional psychologists, rehabilitation specialists (working in the pool and the gym), an art therapist, and a masseur.

They assist children with disabilities with diagnoses such as:

  • Cerebral palsy of various forms
  • Down syndrome
  • РАС
  • childhood autism
  • mental disorders
  • speech delay
  • hearing loss
  • musculoskeletal disorders

It also helps to get back to normal life for children who have undergone oncology treatment or are currently being treated (if rehabilitation is allowed and recommended by doctors).

The Eva Center actually started its operational activity several years ago as a pool rehabilitation program for children who have undergone cancer treatment. The dedication and professionalism of our rehabilitation specialists were highly recognized by visitors, and with the help of TECHIIA holding we have grown into a full-fledged inclusion and correction center with a set of diverse specialists,” says Svitlana Yezhova, the Head of the Eva Center.

Since March 2021, Eva has already assisted 120 children. They are divided into courses of 40 children, with each course working for two months. And if necessary, after a break you can enroll in a repeat course. All classes are free of charge.

“My partner Yura Lazebnikov and I financed the pool rehabilitation program for almost two years because it showed great results - after this course, the children came out of the pool on their own feet. So when the idea came to scale the project into a professional center, we agreed to provide funding. Children who need it are unlikely to receive this range of services elsewhere, and I doubt that some other place can provide it free of charge,” comments Oleg Krot, the Managing Partner of TECHIIA holding.

Eva works with children 3 to 18 years of age. Registration for the course, which will start in November, is currently underway. You can find out more details by phone (067) 521 7992 or on the Eva Facebook page. The address of the center: s. Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, 98 Shevchenko street.
