This Sustainable Development Policy provides a common understanding of the principles of socially responsible business conduction.
Sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are necessary components of TECHIIA's economic activities and strategic development. CSR is a mechanism for implementing the corporate strategy of interaction between the holding with its companies and society, and carrying out its business activities in accordance with the principles of sustainable development and ethical standards.
TECHIIA undertakes to promote sustainable development, and this commitment requires finding a balance between short-term and long-term interests and taking into account economic, environmental and social factors in commercial decision-making.

The main objectives of this document are to provide an overview of our approach to sustainable development and its principles, and to describe the TECHIIA’s policy and its commitment to promoting sustainable development.
All employees of the TECHIIA (including contractor personnel) are responsible for complying with this policy. The policy is brought to the notice of all staff and is publicly available.
We adhere to the principles and provisions of ISO 26000:2010 Guidance on social responsibility, which provides a definition of social responsibility for all types of organizations, whether they are a business, a state-owned enterprise or a non-profit organization: «It is responsibility of an organization for the impacts of its decisions and activities on society and the environment, through transparent and ethical behaviour that contributes to sustainable development, including health and the welfare of society; takes into account the expectations of stakeholders; is in compliance with applicable law and consistent with international norms of behaviour; and is integrated throughout the organization and practised in its relationships.»
The concept of sustainable development aims to «to ensure that it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs»*. We fully share this definition and will continue to do so by incorporating sustainability principles into our business strategies, plans and processes. In this sense, sustainable development implies and ensures economic efficiency, environmental safety, social justice and ethical behavior, as well as overall reduction of human impact on the environment.
The implementation of the Policy is ensured through open, constructive and sustained cooperation and two-way interaction with all stakeholder groups. Such cooperation is the basis for our success.
- The principles of sustainable development are laid down in the holding's policies, plans, procedures and processes. In order to ensure openness and transparency of the holding's activities, we have introduced regular disclosure of information to stakeholders and reporting on the effectiveness of corporate social responsibility.
- We ensure effective stakeholder engagement when special attention is paid to the inhabitants and risk groups whose interests may be violated as a result of the holding's activities.
- We establish a dialogue between the inhabitants and the holding in the areas, where our companies operate, and this helps to establish open, transparent relations, which are a prerequisite for the further development of the region or regions.
- The holding allocates its own funds for social investments in the regions where it operates, and also raises funds from its partners. Initiatives aimed at solving current problems contribute to the real improvement of the quality of life.
